Born in Colorado, now based in The Bronx, Tammy Wofsey makes larger-than-life black and white linoleum prints and artist books. She received a B.F.A. from SUNY College at Purchase, where she studied with Antonio Frasconi in the book arts program. Having worked with her mentor Bob Blackburn at his printmaking workshop, she subsequently set up her own print shop, Plotzing Press, in the Mott Haven section of The Bronx. Wofsey’s work may be found at the Library of Congress, Yale University, the Museum School in Boston, and in private collections.
