Alejandra Delfin studied at Bob Blackburn Printmakers Workshop and at the Art Student League of New York. In Paris, she trained at Atelier 17 with renowned printmaker S. W. Hayter, and at École Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts. She graduated from SUNY Empire State College with a BA in the Arts. Ms Delfin founded and led Studio 889 Printmaking Workshop and Gallery from 2005-2009.
She is the recipient of a BRIO (Bronx Council on the Arts) and Action Lab awards (Bronx Museum), The Longwood Arts Project/BCA Fellowship, and The Merit Scholarship from The Arts Students League.
Alejandra’s work has been exhibited at Wagner College, Dutchess Community College, Empires State College, BAAD!, The Bronx River Art Center, Longwood Gallery, The Beacon Artist Union Gallery, The Broom Gallery, Cinque Gallery, Smith College, The Brecht Forum, Convento de San Francisco, Museo De La Nation and the Aliansa Francesa in Lima, Peru.
Her work has been in featured in publications such as Bob Blackburn Printmaking Workshop Catalog, Cicada Magazine; Long Shot Productions Literary Magazine; The New York Times review. Books featuring her work include El Grabado En El Perú Republicano: Diccionario Histórico by Nanda Leonardini and Reproduce And Revolt by Josh MacPhee and Favianna Rodriguez.
