Bronx born, Louis earned his BFA from Lehman College. He now resides in New Rochelle where he is proud to have a wet plate collodion studio at Gallery Roc Studios. His mainly Italian heritage of both Bronx born and immigrant grandparents colored his childhood with vitality and creativity. His exploration into wet plate collodion was first inspired by the residual memories created by his grandparents worldly possessions. Louis continued study in photography has led to the building of his own cameras and to creating a portable darkroom. As well versed with a digital camera as an vintage one, he enjoys freelancing as a second shooter for Hart and Sol Photography. Excited that his collaborations have landed him two consecutive years in the AIPAD Photography Show as well as The Bronx Museum and El Museo del Barrio.
