Nicky Enright is an artist, educator, and DJ whose multimedia work explores language, the construction of identity, the theory and practice of borders, and the intersection of image and sound. He earned a BFA from The Cooper Union, and an MFA from Hunter College.
He has exhibited internationally at venues such as Exit Art and The Bronx Museum in NYC, the Art Museum of the Americas in Washington D.C., and the Emerson Gallery in Berlin, Germany. He has executed numerous commissions for clients such as the MTA Arts for Transit, in NYC, and the Smithsonian Institution, and NASA, in Washington D.C. He has received various awards including a BRIO grant from The Bronx Council on the Arts and a fellowship from A Blade of Grass foundation. He has been invited to numerous residency programs and he was the recipient of the first apexart Outbound Residency based in Bangkok, Thailand.
He is also an educator with experience at institutions ranging from Riverdale Country School to the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. His activity as musician and DJ informs his work, at the crossroads of audio and visual media. Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, he lives and works in the Bronx, NY.
