American, born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, 1983.

She holds degrees in fine art from Hunter College, NY and art history from Old Dominion University, VA as well as being a US Navy veteran.

Using an interdisciplinary approach that combines traditional art mediums and repurposing of objects, installation and structured improvisation, I aim at (re)creating narratives that speak of fragmentation, longing, shame and emotional impulses.

The works are informed by childhood memories, historical events, sexuality and the everyday. These experiences along with preconceived ideas of beauty, gender roles and power structures shape perceptions that I’m constantly pushing for and against.
