Project for a Street Corner (WTC PATH)
A group of high school students and artist stand in a circle during the midst of the evening commute. Over the span of twenty minutes, the performers’ circle shapes a regular stream of commuters into a smaller, then wider column. The circle gets broken as individuals walk through it.
From an ongoing series of videos documenting participatory group performances devised to covertly affect the behavior of passersby. These experimental events are in crowded urban public spaces in New York City (Manhattan and the Bronx), Berlin, and New Delhi.
