Ernesto will be exhibiting two of his ongoing series, “Diaries of a City” and “Dreams of Color”.
“Dreams of Color”
…draws attention to the serious lack of dancers of color in the world of Ballet. In light of Misty Copeland’s climb up the ladder of success, becoming the first African American to be appointed as Principal Dancer in ABT’s 75 year history, Ernesto has dedicated a portrait of Misty that will be included in his
Solo Exhibition.
“Diaries of a City”
…captures life of both the animate and inanimate within the boundaries of the Big Apple. Ernesto believes that everything has a story to tell and has striven to capture these moments in time. Moments etched into his mind since childhood.
