CALL FOR ARTIST to Draw Coloring Pages for Patients – August 14 Deadline
Artist to Draw Coloring Pages for Patients
The Healing Arts Program at Montefiore Medical Center is seeking an artist to illustrate images of the Bronx for a coloring book for patients. The coloring book will be distributed to patients through our volunteer Art Cart program as a way to help people relax and engage in an enjoyable creative activity while in the hospital.
We are seeking original black-and-white line illustrations of scenes that represent the vibrancy and diversity of the Bronx. Themes may include historic sites, cultural attractions, historic events, and everyday life scenes. We are particularly interested in images that communicate the themes of health, family and community. We are open to proposals for images geared towards children, teenagers and adults.
This is a paid position.
To apply, please submit the following to HealingArts@montefiore.org:
– A cover letter detailing your proposal for the coloring book’s overall concept and specific ideas for 4 of the drawings. Please indicate if your concept is for children, teenagers or adults.
– Resume
– Two examples of your illustration work that reflect the style you propose for the coloring book
The deadline for application is Friday, August 14 at 5pm.
