Ezequiel Jimenez is a New York based artist, born in DR. Currently lives and maintains his own studio-residence in the Bronx. He received an AAS in Digital Arts & Graphic Design from Bronx Community College (2008); BA in Studio Art and Political Science (2010); and a MFA in Art (2015) from City University of New York at Lehman College.
His work consists of large-scale paintings and works on paper. Integral to the imagery is a dialog about curved lines, organic forms and mechanical imagery often resolving in monochromatic explosions of conflict. Compositions are completed on hard plywood, eucaboard, canvas, or other media. Space and balance dictate the framework.
Before Jimenez receiving his MFA, his works has been presented in over 25 exhibitions, both nationally and internationally including Gallery Bergen, Bergen Community College; Lehman College Art Gallery; Hall of Fame Art Gallery, Bronx Community College; Alexey von Schlepped Gallery of Art, University of Connecticut; Attleboro Arts Museum, Massachusetts; Warwick Museum; Tse Tse Gallery, Rhode Island; CSV Cultural Center; Rio II Gallery, New York City; Rutgers University, Center for Latino Arts and Culture, Paterson Museum; Perth Amboy Gallery Center; New Jersey; Galería Universal in Santiago de Cuba; Centro de Convenciones in Cancun; Centro de la Cultura de Santiago in DR, and others.
