Samantha Alvarez is a multi-disciplinary artist living in The Bronx, New York. She constantly experiments with various mediums such as painting, film and 2D animation. She currently works as a freelance artist, and is continuing her studies in film, at CUNY – City College.

Samantha’s works have a strong focus on mental health awareness and real-life events. She has worked on several films such as Voz del Azul, a mixed media documentary about her own path to self awareness and overcoming depression. She also put together her first solo art show in 2019, called Mira La Vida En La Cara, at Boricua College – Bronx Campus.

Samantha is currently focusing on drawing and painting larger-scale works in her home studio, as well as working on her own independent films.
