Aleathia Brown, native of New York, graduated Fiorello LaGuardia High School of Music & Art for Fine Art and earned her BFA at the School of Visual Arts for Media Arts and Art Education with a minor in Graphic Design. Aleathia completed a certificate program for Commercial Art at Parsons School of Design and is listed with The National Museum of Women in the Arts Archives. With more than 24 years professionally making art and entrepreneurial endeavors Aleathia has had numerous solo and group exhibitions. Ms. Brown’s works have been in permanent collections as well as collected nationally and internationally by patrons and organizations.

Aleathia Brown creates and produces artist development initiative workshops and lectures for student artists as well as career artist. Unveiled Unlocked a global initiative founded by Ms. Brown launched during Harlem Week 2012 has included “My Hair is not my Femininity” City College Windows on Amsterdam Gallery as exhibiting artist and guest Curator.

Unveiled Unlocked awarded a West Harlem Local Development Grant through Columbia University to produce 5 segment discussions videotaped and posted winter 2013 online using social media, local television access channels citywide. Aleathia has a work in the permanent collection in the Harlem Red Lobster and at the Apollo Theater on the 125th Street. Her art was exhibited in the 2014 Harlem Fine Art Show 2014 at The Riverside Church Harlem NY paired with renowned Synthia Saint James artworks.

Aleathia continues to mark her place in history and inspire communities globally!
