Artist Bio

From managing a silver hollow-ware manufacturing company, to growing an art gallery, Barry Kostrinsky has enjoyed a long history in the South Bronx; he also served as a volunteer art therapist at Lincoln Hospital, and developed the Mott Haven Library Arts Program. From 2004-2009, Kostrinsky was the founder and curator at Haven Arts, which received a certificate of merit from the Municipal Arts Society of New York in 2006.

More recently, Barry Kostrinsky was the manager at Bruce M. Sherman Clay Studio in New York City, and is currently the editor-in-chief and writer at This past summer Kostrinsky opened a new art gallery in Mott Haven, HAVEN SBX, where he is developing educational and curatorial programs aimed at helping the neighborhood evolve through this local art space with international reach.
